Woody Guthrie wrote the song “This Land is Your Land, This Land is My Land” in 1956. Throughout the song, he talks about seeing the country while— WALKING! Obviously, there was no such thing as a Roadtrek class b motorhome 55 years ago!
This land is your land, this land is my land
From California, to the New York Island
From the redwood forest, to the gulf stream waters
This land was made for you and me
As I was walking a ribbon of highway
I saw above me an endless skyway
I saw below me a golden valley
This land was made for you and me
As I was walkin’ - I saw a sign there
And that sign said – no tress passin’
But on the other side…. it didn’t say nothin!
Now that side was made for you and me!
Imagine if Woody were with us today. (He died in 1967.) I bet he would still travel from the redwood forest to the gulf stream waters, but his feet wouldn’t be nearly as sore! He’d hop into his Roadtrek and take off for parts unknown, and might even write a song or two along the way. (He wrote hundreds in his career)
The Roadtrek is the best selling Class B MotorHome in North America, and has been for the past two decades. Comfort, style and efficiency are all part of the reason why—it’s almost like taking home with you. Never be without your own kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. Never have to wait in long lines at restaurants, ballgames or concerts. Comforts, you can be sure, that Woody Guthrie would have enjoyed tremendously.
Drivability is another great asset of the Roadtrek. It’s the easiest Class B motorhome to maneuver thru traffic, and because of its smaller size, parking is a breeze. Roadtreks can fit into most car-sized spaces, meaning no more king sized walks to your destination. The Roadtrek can also go many places a full sized RV cannot—giving you access to remote camping sites and mountain highways. It’s one of the most versatile vehicles on the road.
I don’t know if Woody would change the words to the song if he could re-write it today—but I think his method of travel would definitely improve!

I just read an online poll question that got my attention. Would you get married in a funeral home?
What?
People in this country are actually getting married in funeral homes. I’m not sure why, but it’s another source of revenue for the homes. And some people say there isn’t much difference between getting married in a funeral home and a church, which also conducts funerals.
I voted no—but then again, I am not getting married anywhere, if you know what I mean. But it got me to thinking—why not get married in a Roadtrek?
OK, it would have to be a really small wedding, but work with me here. You say your vows, hang around with the loved ones for a while, change into your travel duds, and hit the road for the honeymoon.
For a guy who has been married twice, and gone thru the months long hoopla both times, this is really appealing—if, that is, I was inclined to take that fatal step a third time. Just grab the minister and a couple of witnesses and you are all set. After the ceremony, no long wait to set out for the honeymoon—there isn’t even a need for a hotel room. Just stay in the Roadtrek.
It’s different, I’ll admit, but it makes a heck of a lot more sense than getting hitched in a funeral home. A Roadtrek is your home away from home, and it seems like the logical place to start a marriage—if there is such a place.
It’s a living room, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, motor home e and wedding chapel! It’s a class b motorhome.
